We sailed out with quite some wind, but nice sea conditions. We didn't have to go far before we spotted 2 humpback whales! After a while we decided to leave them alone for a bit and check out the rest of the bay. We did find a small pod of 4 white-beaked dolphins, that were circling us for a few moments, but then disappeared before reappearing a while later.

Luckily the wildlife was close by today so we managed to stay in relatively calm seas. It did not take long before we spotted our familiar duo of humpback whales, possibly feeding on some fish. After a while they surfaced next to and behind our boat! Eventually, we also found a pod of 4 white-beaked dolphins that didn't seem very interested in us, so we moved on.

It felt like a true Icelandic day, but we soon found a pair of humpback whales next to Viðey island! A while later we decided to give them some space and after 20 minutes of sailing we had found a pod of 5 white-beaked dolphins. They greeted us by swimming under the vessel and scattered in all directions. As we returned home, we got one last look at the humpbacks.

We sailed out with an Icelandic breeze, but calm seas. We didn't have to go far, as we soon saw a humpback whale breaching! When we got closer, we could see it was actually 2 humpback whales. They were swimming beside each other and then going down with a fluke dive. One of them started doing peduncle throws and tail slaps as well!

We had a lovely afternoon out at sea. We first encountered a pair of humpback whales, still hanging around the islands right outside the harbour as in the past several weeks. Eventually we also found a pod of around 8 actively feeding white-beaked dolphins. Then, a third humpback whale appeared in the same area, rolling and slapping its pectoral fins.

Today we sailed out with the most beautiful sunrise and we soon spotted a very nice and predictable 1-2 groups of up to 12 harbour porpoises, feeding. We then sailed further and found 2 humpback whales swimming side by side in depth of about 3 metres, as well as a curious harbour seal looking at us. On the way back home to port, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset!

The weather was great, sunny and barely any wind. As we sailed away from port, a little harbour seal popped up out of the water. We continued our journey, and by the time we passed Lundey, we spotted a blow that belonged to 2 humpback whales - it was the same individuals as in the days prior. We also saw a third humpback whale doing long dives!

With a cold breeze coming from land, we went on an adventure! The sun was shining low, perfect for golden hour pics! About 15 minutes into the tour, we saw blows from 2 humpback whales! It was Banana and their companion again. As we moved further along, we also found about 50 white-beaked dolphins; jumping, bow-riding, wave riding.. all of it!

Today we had a clear blue sky and lovely calm seas. We headed towards the islands where two eagle eyed passengers spotted a tail by Lundey. We slowly approached the area and soon were in the company of 2 humpback whales - our friend Banana and their companion!  After enjoying their presence for a while, we admired a beautiful sunset on our way home!

We sailed out this afternoon with strong winds but moderate sea, so it definitely looked worse than it felt. Luckily we didn't have to go out very far, before we found our 2 resident humpback whales from the previous weeks. They were travelling alongside each other and we got nice views of them as they swam close to land - they also showed us their flukes!

We sailed out as the sun was rising over the horizon. We soon found 2 very sleepy humpback whales before also seeing 2 harbour seals. In the afternoon, we quickly spotted the same pair of humpback whales, but this time they were feeding and we could smell their fishy breath. We got to see one of them do peduncle throws before spotting 3 harbour porpoises!

We went out before sunrise, but the lit skyline of Reykjavík made it cozy. We soon saw 2 feeding humpback whales, one of whom was Banana! In the afternoon we found the 2 humpback whales again after about 15 minutes. They were fluke diving and surfacing every 5 minutes or so, pretty much at the same time. It was incredible to witness from up close!

This morning we set out before sunrise to get the most of the day! We searched around the islands and before long spotted a sleepy humpback whale outside Skarfabakki. After seeing its unique fluke pattern, we could identify it as our friend Banana! In the afternoon we were lucky to find the resting humpback whale again, just a few minutes into the tour.
