Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 1PM Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: The weather has been both difficult and yet stunningly beautiful with the freshly laid snow and the clear skies intermitted with snow flurries causing low visibility and then clear skies again has been interesting to experience. This afternoon was no exception. We had large and long swells today so we had to keep the boat in as comfortable waters as possible, we first sailed close to land to search for the whales in the areas they were preferring in winter 2019 (closed down last winter due to COVID) in the hope to find them there again. Unfortunately not. We then went further west and enjoyed the diversity of birds; guillemots, cormorants, seagulls and eider ducks but alas no cetaceans (whales, dolphins, porpoises) this tour. It´s always disappointing to not have sightings but this is nature and the wonders of nature is what intrigues us. We offered our passengers complimentary tickets to come again for free any time in the next two years.
