Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 1PM Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: It was beautiful in this cold afternoon. We had a clear sky when we left the harbour, with a very cold but weak wind coming from the east. The visibility was great and we had uncomparable views on the snowy landscape. We went to an area where we commonly see animals and after a while looking we found quite a lot of bird activity. We slowed down and looked until we spotted a pod of more than 10 white-beaked dolphins. The pod quickly approached us but then they went further away, probably busy feeding. We followed them and some juveniles seemed curious about the boat, coming close to have a look at us. At some point one of the dolphins started showing off with beautiful jumps! The leaps were very high and allowed us to see the dolphin´s full size and white bands along its body. After this lovely sighting we decided to make another round in one of our hotspots to see if we could spot some other species before heading back. We had a short sighting of harbour porpoises, but the rest of the tour we just enjoyed the breath-taking landscape around us and beautiful skies above us.
