Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 1PM Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

Report from Eldey: On a day like today the artist John Lennon left us, as he said: "Peace is not something you wish for; it’s something you make, something you do, something you are, and something you give away"; and with these words we entered into the creation of an extremely beautiful day, hoping that his message spreads throughout the world and its living beings. The afternoon started with considerable wind coming from the east and medium to high swells, but that did not discourage our adventurous passengers. The journey out was on the rougher side but the captain decided to head south, later on we discovered it was an excellent choice. Shortly after leaving the harbor we were able to spot a huge flock of kittiwakes, and there seemed to be quite a good amount of fish in that area. With so many seabirds we really hoped some cetaceans would be close by and just then we saw some blows at the distance. When we got closer to them we saw two humpback whales traveling together. They were moving slowly, straightforward, and in serene fashion. They were regularly diving during long minutes, so we had to be patient, and we even got really good luck when they surfaced within 100 meters away and once got to see the both of them raising their flukes stock out of the water when they went for to dive. It was very special to see this so intelligent creatures also so in peace.
