The forecast was good, indicating strong magnetic activity, and the skies were super clear. Tonight did not disappoint! As soon as we left the marina we already had northern lights, stretching in a wide arch, all the way to mt. Esja.

Shortly after we left port, the skies cleared out and we got very hopeful. However, the auroras did not show themselves tonight, so after a bit of sightseeing, we sailed back home and issued complimentary tickets for another time.

We sailed out under a clear, starry sky when faint northern lights appeared above us and stayed with us all night long. In the end we decided to issue complimentary tickets so everyone could have a chance to see them in all their glory.

The forecast was good and the skies were clear. We did not have to wait long - as we were approaching Esja, the northern lights already showed themselves. At first they were faint but they grew stronger as the tour progressed.

The northern lights made us wait for about an hour, but when they showed up against the background of Esja mountain, they were shooting up towards the sky in a beautiful display of green light, and sometimes we could see shades of pink.

Just five minutes in, we saw our first glimpse of the northern lights and the excitement on board was unreal. They kept getting stronger, and before we knew it, the whole sky was glowing. We ended the night with a whole boat full of happy people!

The conditions were perfect and within five minutes, we could already see the northern lights that gradually became stronger! To make the night even better, we spotted Mars and Jupiter shining brightly in the sky.

Shortly after leaving the harbour, a strong band of northern lights appeared and was visible and pretty much all night. We saw some green and pink hues and even a red cloud from the latest volcanic eruption on the horizon! What a magical evening.

We sailed out full of hope and had our first stop at the Imagine Peace Tower. As we continued into the bay we were able to see Mars and Jupiter clearly, but unfortunately no auroras appeared, so we issued complimentary tickets to all.

As the auroras were elusive tonight, we offered everyone complimentary tickets.. but then, an arch of northern lights appeared on the horizon! Though the sighting was brief, it was a magical end to our night in Faxaflói bay.

After around 30 min. we were able to see some northern lights through the clouds, but they were faint. As they never got stronger, we ended up giving out complimentary tickets so our passengers could try again another time.

We sailed out into the dark bay, with the moon reflecting on the sea, creating a magical atmosphere. Although the forecast looked good, we sadly were not lucky to see the auroras tonight, so we issued complimentary tickets to all.

After a week of cancelled tours, we headed out under a bright moon and a few high clouds. Unfortunately, no auroras were seen, so we offered complimentary tickets to our passengers so they can try their luck again another night.
