We went out on our morning tour full of hope, with slightly choppy seas and windy conditions. We search around the islands, where we had seen whales over the last weeks, and saw many big flocks of birds, but unfortunately we were not able to find any larger life in the sea, so we gave out complimentary tickets. Our afternoon tour was cancelled due to the worsening weather in the bay.

There was a little rain at the start of the day, but otherwise good conditions at sea, and we soon spotted our 2 humpback whales on our morning tour, with a rainbow appearing as well. In the afternoon, we had a bit more wind but luckily mostly flat seas, and we found our resident 2 humpback whales after a short search - a nice day at sea!
There were some winds today, but the temperature had gone up. On our morning tour we found 2 humpback whales after 30 minutes of searching, the same individuals we have been spotting recently. In the afternoon, we found the 2 humpback whales again, Banana & Split, as well as spotting 2 grey seals towards the end.

With a kp index of 4/9, we were excited to go out this evening, with slightly clouded sky but some gaps. Sure enough, we spotted the northern lights soon after leaving the harbour, another beautiful evening at sea.
It started off as a cold day with good conditions at sea. On our morning tour, we found 2 humpback whales close to Engey island, and spent some time with them as they were diving. In the afternoon, we found 1 humpback whale near Lundey island and found our second humpback whale around 1km away. On both tours, we had great sightings of harbour and grey seals near Viðey island.

As soon as we left the harbour, we could already see an arch across the sky. Sure enough, the northern lights were dancing above us, and "exploded" at one point, visible across the whole sky. A fantastic evening at sea!
A beautiful day - cold but calm. The morning tour started off with 2 humpback whales spotted close to Lundey, and a brief sighting of 2-3 harbour porpoises. In the afternoon, after some cruising, we found our 2 humpback whales again, along with 2 harbour porpoises spotted by some lucky passengers.
It was a cold morning in the bay. We sailed out to the islands and found a small pod of around 4-6 interactive white-beaked dolphins that we could enjoy for a while. In the afternoon, the sea was calm and we again found a pod of 5 white-beaked dolphins that were playing in the waves. We later got word of 2 humpback whales that we got to enjoy some time with!

Our night started with calm seas and a starry sky. We sailed into the bay enjoying our warm drinks and the fresh winter breeze. We waited for a while before we started to see the green hues of the northern lights getting brighter and brighter!
During this cold morning we sailed into the bay with a small swell and a bit of wind while we enjoyed our morning coffee and watched the sun rise. We spotted 2 humpback whales after about 20 minutes of sailing and saw them fluke multiple times. In the afternoon we again found our resident humpback whales. We also saw a (couple?) pods of 3-5 harbour porpoises!

We went out on a beautiful clear night and the stars were shining bright. The auroras tested our patience, and it was only towards the end of the tour that the northern lights showed themselves. But boy they put a very nice show on for us!
First white-beaked dolphins of the year!
Although white-beaked dolphins are one of the most common and well-known cetaceans in Icelandic waters, we have started seeing less of them in winter due to operating so close to land. Yesterday we encountered a pod of 5 white-beaked dolphins, including a calf!
