Due to the strong winds we headed towards mt. Esja for protection. On our way, we spotted 2 harbour porpoises and soon after we saw a minke whale. In the afternoon we did manage to spot a blow or two but didn't manage to see the individual producing it. We therefore decided to give out complimentary tickets to our passengers!

Beautiful weather in the bay today, despite the cold air and signs of an early winter. We encountered a pod of 6 white beaked dolphins and about 5 minke whales, roaming around and feeding. In the afternoon, in addition to that, we also saw a couple of harbour porpoises, but due to the difficult sightings we offered our guests complimentary tickets.

After some time we could see a faint green through our cameras, but it was not visible to the naked eye. We kept on looking in this direction, but unfortunately the activity never picked up. We therefore decided to offer our passengers complimentary tickets so they could join us another night!

Our day started out with snow dusted mountains, a cool wind coming from the North and the swell was moderate (picked up in the afternoon). In all we found a pod of 9 white-beaked dolphins, 3 minke whales and 3 harbour porpoises on our adventures today.

We sailed out hopeful of seeing some great northern lights tonight. At times we could see green hues behind the clouds on our cameras, but not with our eyes. We therefore we offered complimentary tickets at the end of the tour!

The skies were very clear and we saw northern lights from the start of the tour. They were faint at first, but gradually grew greener as time passed by and we got away from the light pollution. We observed them for a while in all shapes and colours!
