This morning we passed by Viðey island where we found 2 harbour seals before finding the 2 humpback whales from the previous day. The afternoon was calm and again we found the 2 humpback whales side by side and one of them even started to breach, at least 6x, before rolling and doing pec slaps! Meanwhile a sneaky minke whale swam by. What a show!

RIB Boats Tucked Away for the Winter
Our trusty RIB boats have now been sailed back to Njarðvík, where they'll spend the winter months safely in storage. The trip took place in beautiful weather, marking the end of another great season out at sea. Until next season!
- NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00
We had a forecasted KP index 2/9, which is quite nice for our area. We sailed into the darkness as we waited for the sky to clear, and saw the glow of the Imagine Peace Tower, but unfortunately no auroras, so we issued complimentary tickets.
As the moon set on our left and the sun rose on our right, we set sail this morning and not too long we spotted the blows of 2 relaxed humpback whales! In the afternoon, we again found the 2 humpback whales! One individual started off with a powerful tail slap. We also found one minke whale nearby! It was great to be able to see both species in the same area.

- NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00
This evening, we had partly cloudy skies but managed to see very faint northern lights above the mountains as we were heading home. Due to the short-lived and faint lights, we of course gave our passengers complimentary tickets to come again!
We sailed out in beautiful weather this morning. Not far from the harbour we spotted 3 humpback whales, one of them we know as "Birdie". The afternoon was also beautifully calm, with perfect blue skies and mirror like seas. We soon found a pair of humpback whales again whom swam side by side for the whole encounter. We also found a minke whale on our way home.
Eldey in Dry Dock
Our beloved Eldey is currently in dry dock for a well deserved overhaul. As part of our regular maintenance routine, a variety of improvements and repairs are being carried out to ensure she's in top shape for the winter season ahead.

The northern lights were out even before the boat left the harbour, and they continued to shine bright for us throughout the tour. They were intense and dancing above mt. Esja as we stopped to admire the Imagine Peace Tower on our way home!
We sailed towards Engey this morning where we spotted a feeding humpback whale! This individual was very relaxed at the surface and gave us really nice fluke dives. The wind had picked up in the afternoon but right out the harbour, we spotted a feeding minke whale and a pair of humpback whales, before eventually spotting a tiny little harbour seal!
- NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00
Right as we left the harbour, we spotted very strong northern lights appearing over mt. Esja. As we made our way closer, they started expanding! We had mostly green, with even a little red! After a while, they started crossing over the Imagine Peace Tower.
