The day was quite grey but there was finally barely any wind at sea and just a few long waves. Although we saw 2 harbour porpoises and a pod of 3 white-beaked dolphins in the morning, we decided to offer the passengers complimentary tickets. The afternoon tour, in addition to that, also saw a minke whale and a humpback whale!
We sailed out this afternoon onto a gloomy bay with moderate swell. After about an hour of sailing we spotted 2 white-beaked dolphins and on the way back we saw 3 harbour porpoises. Ultimately we decided to offer our guests complimentary tickets as both sightings were very short lived.
This morning we were able to sail out for the first time in a few days hoping to see some marine wildlife. Not too long after leaving the harbour it started to snow. Around this same time we also saw a harbour porpoise, then about 10 white-beaked dolphins before we also got a quick glimpse at a minke whale!
Due to rough weather in the bay, we have decided to CANCEL all our whale watching tours today!
Due to weather, we were only able to sail at 13:00 today. It was very cold in the bay and we could even see the snow on top of the mountains surrounding the bay. It took us a while before we spotted some fins in the distance which turned out to be a pod of white beaked dolphins!
We had a pod of about 10 white-beaked dolphins in the morning, which we also saw in the afternoon, along with a single minke whale which saw for a few surface sequence before returning back to shore!
After a bit of sailing we spotted about 7 white beaked dolphins in the morning, we then noticed a bigger blow a little further out but it wasn't seen again, so we offered complimentary tickets to all passengers. In the afternoon we presumably saw the same pod of white-beaked dolphins and then a minke whale shining in the sun!
Despite a great encounter with white-beaked dolphins in the morning, we decided to offer all our passengers complimentary tickets. In the afternoon we came across a minke whale close to the shoreline, then a lone harbour porpoise and around 20 active white beaked dolphins!
On today's tours we encountered up to 30 active white-beaked dolphins, a lone harbour porpoise which surfaced a lot around the back of our boat, about 3 minke whales that only surfaced a couple times and then a beautiful humpback whale!
Today we had a bit of a swell, but the sun was shining and lifting our spirits! We spotted a couple of minke whales, a pod of about 8 jumping white-beaked dolphins and additionally in the afternoon we also saw a few different pods of harbour porpoises.
Due to unfavourable weather conditions in the bay, all whale watching tours have been CANCELLED today!
This morning we had an encounter with about 5 white-beaked dolphins and 2 minke whales in the same area. In the afternoon we also spotted a minke whale and some white-beaked dolphins, however due to the sightings being very quick, we decided to give out complimentary tickets!
This morning we saw 4 minke whales (1 breached straight in front of us), a pod of harbour porpoises and about 15 white beaked dolphins. In the afternoon we saw the same species as the morning tour, but due to the elusiveness of the majority of our sightings we gave our passengers complimentary tickets!
