It cleared up a bit and we had an almost dry tour! On this tour we saw four to six minke whales (we couldn't quite tell exactly) and a beautiful group of white-beaked dolphins with at least seven animals.
It was still wet and gray when we
The swell was less in the evening and the rain had cleared up. It was pretty difficult searching for whales though, no birds were in sight and we didn't spot much of interest. One lone minke whale was all we saw, and it only surfaced twice. In the nick of time we spotted spl

At the beginning of our tour we saw few Harbour porpoises. They are allways very fast and also this group disappeared. We were lucky and we saw a group of White beaked dolphins. They were breaching and approac
The sea is rough, its cold and windy and cloudy. At the beginning of the tour we didnt see any whales, we started to be disapointed, but after a while we finelly spotted a Minke whale. It was just a short moment and then it disappeared. But later we got an amasing view: brea
The wind had picked up quite a bit and so it was a bit more difficult for us to spot the whales. We found a Minke whale which surfaced a couple of times very close to the boat but didn't see it again. We also found 2 groups of white-beaked dolphins which were, as always, gre
The wind had picked up... a lot! We sailed out to the area where we have been for the past few weeks, all the time sailing against some very big waves, so it was a rough ride out there. We slowed down the boat and spotted a Minke whale which surfaced a few times before going
We set off in the rain, and sailed out for quite a while. We encountered a couple of Minke whales which we had a quick look at, but then headed out a bit further to look for the blow of the Humpback whale. We found the blow and found the whale :) We observed the Humpback fo

The wind dropped down a lot. A very nice and realxing tour we had. A lot of minke whales, at least 10-15 individuals surfacing all around, some busy in lunge feeding, and we could see them rolling under the water to entrap the fish. Birds were great as well: a lot of feeding
The wind had picked up a bit this evening, so it was more difficult for us to spot the whales. Luckily the whale blows were very visible and we sighted at least 4 minke whales. We also spotted a couple of very lively white-beaked dolphins in the distance, jumping and making
The whales were still out there, lots of Minke whales and the Humpback. They were not feeding as actively as this morning, actually we observed the Humpback whale for most of the trip, it was very difficult to take our eyes off it. It was swimming very calmly all around the
Very nice and calm the sea during our late afternoon tour. In our first part of the tour we could observe al least 5 minke whales, some were surfacing in the same area and were showing the black backs and the pointed dorsal fins. In the second part of the tour instead we had

The wind picked up a bit, but the tour was really nice. We came back around the same area where we observed the minke whales this mornign but the scenery and the wildlife wa
The sea was still very rough. Visibility was ok. There was the last tour for the Puffin island, there were just few of them left, but still many on the sea. A Minke whale surprised us just next to our boat, very close, but very short visible. Later there were just few Minke
Again there were plenty of Gannets and other sea birds out there and we found a few Minke whales as well. We could see the blow of the Minke whales quite easily in these weather conditions, and there were plenty out there, but quite difficult to approach. We had a great enco
Again, we came to an area where there were still lots of feeding Gannets, and in the same area there were a couple of Minke whales and a group of harbour porpoises! We had a good look at one of the Minke whales which surfaced a few times very close to the boat. After heading
Its very sunny and the ocean is calm. The visibility cannot be better, the Minke whales are approaching us from all sides, some calves as well, they are very cute and we can also hear the whales breath. All the birds especially the Gannets are feeding around. We see also bre
It is little bit windy but sunny and great visibility. We very soon spotted a Minky whale, later three of them, but they were still far, maybe 150 metres and fast traveling. Then we were lucky and one approached our boat so close, that we could almost touch it. And also one
Report from Hafsúla: The weather was beautiful, sunny and clear, but the wind was blowing a bit more than this morning. We sailed far out on the bay and were able to spot some minke whales! They were not very easy to follow, coming up to the surface only once or twice before
