Preview textThis morning we sailed into a stormy sea. The great visibility allowed us to search a vast areas of the bay and we were accompanied by many different seabirds along the way. Despite our best efforts, we saw no signs of cetaceans, so we issued complimentary tickets to all passengers. The afternoon tour ended up being cancelled due to unfavourable conditions.

Preview textWe set sail this morning under the bright sunshine and the view was absolutely breathtaking. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, no cetaceans were seen, so we issued complimentary tickets to all passengers. In the afternoon we encountered a pod of 8 white-beaked dolphins feeding. They came super close to us, sometimes surfing with the waves!

Preview textIt was like a perfect summer day this morning, with barely any wind. We made our way to Hafnarfjörður, where we spotted a minke whale! Closer to Reykjavík, we found a pod of about 20 white-beaked dolphins! In the afternoon we saw two pods of white-beaked dolphins consisting of 5 and 30 individuals. They were extremely active and jumping around a lot!

Preview textToward the end of the morning tour, we caught a glimpse of a minke whale, but it was super quick and the passengers didn't really get a chance to see it, so we issued complimentary tickets tickets in the end. In the afternoon we found ourselves a minke whale! It was seemingly unbothered by our presence, as it surfaced multiple times very close to our boat!

Preview textThe morning tour started with calm seas and almost no wind. Out of nowhere, dorsal fins emerged - it was 6-7 white-beaked dolphins! The afternoon tour saw a pod of 3-4 harbour porpoises, a feeding minke whale appeared! After a bit more of travelling during the bay we spotted the first 2 atlantic puffins of the year and about 12 feeding white-beaked dolphins.

Preview textIn the morning we sailed into a cloudy bay. Unfortunately no cetaceans were found, so we issued complimentary tickets to all our passengers. In the afternoon, we had searched for quite a while before we encountered a pod of 6 white-beaked dolphins! They were swimming in circles most of the time, and we got great looks at them though close to the boat.

Preview textWe set off this morning and saw a total of 11 harbour porpoises. We also spotted a minke whale, but due to the quick sightings, we decided to issue complimentary tickets. The afternoon encountered a minke whale and got to spend quite some time with this individual, and even saw multiple lunge feeds! On the way back we ran into a pod of 4 white-beaked dolphins.

Preview textWe sailed out this morning and about 20 minutes into the tour, we saw a few splashes coming from near Grótta, by about 15 harbour porpoises. Then, a few black bodies with fins emerged to breathe, it was 5 minke whales! We then came across a pod of 7 feeding white-beaked dolphins! In the afternoon we saw 2 pods of 4 white-beaked dolphins!

Preview textWhat a sunny morning! We encountered a minke whale that popped out of nowhere and came up quite a few times next to our boat. In the afternoon we headed out towards Hafnarfjörður, and we hit the jackpot - we found a massive pod of over 100+ white-beaked dolphins! They were all over the place, clearly feeding, with a bunch of birds flying all around them.

Preview textThis morning, we had all kinds of weather. We came across a couple of harbour porpoises, but unfortunately no bigger cetacean, so we issued complimentary tickets to all passengers. In the afternoon we found a minke whale and several harbour porpoises! We observed them resurfacing a few times, before heading back home under heavy snowcovered skies.

Preview textWe didn't know it yet, but we were in for quite the surprise.. we saw a huge black dorsal fin of a male ORCA - there were 10-12 individuals including males, females and juveniles, all feeding! We also saw 2-3 pods of up to 7 harbour porpoises along the way. In the afternoon we found a pod of 5 white-beaked dolphins that came very close to our boat and check us out!

Preview textThis morning, the sea welcomed us with calm waters and a light breeze. As we cruised along, we spotted a dorsal fin breaking the surface - it was a minke whale, likely feeding in the waters rich with fish. The skies had cleared up in the afternoon a lot and the winds were pushing our backs. We eventually found a minke whale, surfacing often very close to our boat.

Preview textWe searched around for a good amount of time this morning, but eventually we were rewarded with a humpback whale! We saw multiple beautiful fluke dives and it even surfaced very close to our boat! In the afternoon, after sailing for nearly an hour, we came across a wonderful spot full of wildlife - a pod of 5 white-beaked dolphins as well as a humpback whale!

Preview textWe headed out this morning in good weather, with no wind and calm seas. As we sailed along, we found a total of 4 pods of white-beaked dolphins, we could even see some of their little faces very clearly. In the afternoon, in very quick succession, we saw 2 pods of white beaked dolphins consisting of 5 and 6 individuals, actively swimming all around us!

Preview textThe morning tour saw 2 pods of up to 7 white-beaked dolphins, one with a very young calf as well as a couple of humpback whales! In the afternoon, we again found a humpback whale, but that's not all - we also saw massive dorsal fins breaking the water - it was in fact, a pod of 6 ORCAS! 4 males and 2 females came into the bay today, very close to the city!

Preview textThis morning, we saw a glimpse of a minke whale, just after passing Grótta. We continued our journey heading towards a few fishing boats, where we saw a humpback whale! Despite our best efforts, the afternoon tour only saw a lone harbour porpoise. So, we handed out complimentary tickets to everyone on board so they can come back and try again!

Preview textWe set out into calm, foggy sea this morning. After a while, we saw a pod of about 10 white-beaked dolphins swimming calmly. We also spotted a whale, but it was difficult to determine the species from where we were - possibly a rare SEI whale?! In the afternoon we saw a pod of 6 white-beaked dolphins, and another one consisting of 5-7 individuals, with calves!

In the afternoon, the sun was shining and it was feeling warm. After a while we found a humpback whale - and suddenly two pods of 7 and 16 white-beaked dolphins came up all around us!

Preview textThis morning, we spotted white-beaked dolphins in the distance - a pod of about 30 individuals, with 3 small calves! Then a humpback whale surfaced nearby! About one hour into the afternoon tour, we saw a minke whale - it seems like they are truly back, just in time for spring! As we turned around to go back home, we also encountered a humpback whale!

Preview textThis morning, we saw a blow from a humpback whale that was resting on the surface. A while later, we found 2 pods of white-beaked dolphins! In the afternoon we encountered 2 humpback whales feeding right next to our boat - and then, we saw our first minke whale of the season, and it did a lunge feed too! We also saw a couple of white-beaked dolphins!
