Whale watching tour is on schedule today from Reykjavík! Remember to dress according to weather and feel free to borrow our thermal overalls if needed!

Report from Eldey: It was the first whale watching tour of December, and although the weather was chilly, the sky was clear and blue. About 30 minutes into the sail, we spotted two blows in the distance. As we got closer, we were thrilled to find two humpback whales! They were surfacing regularly and fluking a lot, much to the excitement of everyone on board. A couple of times, they even came super close to the boat! While we waited for one of the humpbacks to surface again, a pod of 2-4 harbor porpoises appeared. They were super shy though, and we lost sight of them pretty quickly. Before heading back, we spotted one more humpback, and to top it all off, we got to see it fluke with the sunset in the background—such a magical moment!
