CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: Today we sailed out properly into the bay and wanted to try our luck further out. The ocean was very peaceful and calm, the mountains snow-covered, the moon and the sun were out and shining. What a day to go whale watching. We sailed for about 50min and then spotted multiple blows in one area. It seemed our gamble had paid off, there were multiple humpback whales in this area and it was difficult to count how many! We started with one duo, then moved onto a trio (this trio felt like it was being followed by 2 more) and then there were multiple blows on the horizon. In total it was roughly 8-11 humpbacks! Apart from the freezing temperature it felt like a summers day! We stayed in this hotspot for a bit until we were joined by another boat and headed on. We found another humpback which gave us a beautiful high fluke dive. This was the perfect end and headed back home, sun setting on our back now and moutains turning pink.
