An overcast morning as we headed out to sea, and started our search for whales! We soon spotted some fast and elusive minke whales - 3 in total - feeding and travelling at high speeds. It was difficult to get a good look, so we continued our search but unfortunately didn‘t spot anything else, so gave our guests complimentary tickets to try again another day. In the afternoon, there was a little rain, and we searched the bay far and wide. After some time, we spotted a pod of 10 white-beaked dolphins and close by, a pair of humpback whales! They exhibited some brilliant surface behaviour and we managed a great look at them before heading back to the harbour with smiles on our faces.

Under a beautiful sunny day with a calm bay, we headed out on our morning tour. Soon, we spotted 6-7 white-beaked dolphins playing and jumping, a great sighting! Soon after, we spotted 3-4 minke whales feeding and even more dolphins, which were everywhere in the bay today! A fantastic morning at sea. In the afternoon, we again spotted white-beaked dolphins, around 10 this time, very soon into the tour. Then, a humpback whale! We had some great fluke dives with this individual, and then we had a very busy area with 4 harbour porpoises, 4 minke whales and another 3 humpback whales! The bay was truly alive today!

With a cold wind and sunny skies, we left the harbour and soon noticed how many seabirds were around - a great amount of puffins, fulmars, gannets and more! We spent some time searching in the bay but unfortunately we couldn‘t find anything this time, so gave our guests complimentary tickets to try their luck another time. In the afternoon, we again headed out full of hope, and some beautiful skies & seabirds everywhere! We searched the bay again, and towards Hvalfjörður, but our search turned up fruitless and we gave our passengers complimentary tickets to try once more!

We set out this morning with the sun shining but a little wind, and not far into the bay, spotted the blow of a minke whale. It was very quick, and we managed to spot a few surfaces before this elusive minke left us. We left further into the bay with our eyes peeled, but unfortunately didn‘t manage to spot anything else, so gave our passengers complimentary tickets to try again another time. In the afternoon, the wind picked up so we made the decision to cancel our tour for the safety and comfort of our passengers.

With a little cloud and some breeze, we set sail for our morning tour. After some time sailing, we spotted a minke whale. This minke was very quick and we managed a brief sighting before sailing on to see what else we could find. We spotted another solitary minke but this one was also very elusive and so we gave our passengers complimentary tickets to try again another day. On our afternoon tour, we had some blue skies, and headed out to see what we could find. We spotted a blow in the bay and it was a humpback whale! We then spotted another in the same area, and had some more luck with this one with some great surface sequences and fluke dive! A great end to the day.

We left this Monday morning with beautiful sunny weather and calm perfect conditions. We soon spotted a minke whale in the same area as a couple of harbour porpoises. We managed brief glimpses of both species, and sailed further with the hope of seeing more. Unfortunately, we were unlucky this time so offered complimentary tickets to our passengers to try again. In the afternoon, we again had beautiful weather with the sun shining and the sea calm. We covered much of Faxaflói bay in the hope of finding something but unfortunately, there was nothing to be found this afternoon so we again gave our passengers complimentary tickets to try their luck again!

A sunny morning and perfect conditions, before long we had our first sightings! 3 humpback whales and 2 minke whales. In the distance, we noticed more activity and approached to find a pod of white-beaked dolphins. In the afternoon, we headed straight out into the bay and soon spotted blows. It was around 4 humpback whales! A brilliant find and we spent some time with them. A sunny Sunday at sea!

We sailed into the bay with sunny skies this morning, but a little swell. We soon spotted a pod of around 10 white-beaked dolphins. Soon after, we found a humpback whale and then a small pod of harbour porpoises! In the afternoon, we headed again out and spotted 10-15 white-beaked dolphins. They were very curious and came close to the boat, and we then spotted a second pod soon after. A great sighting - and then a blow in the distance - a humpback whale! A great day at sea.

We set out this morning with some swell and headed north to see what we could find. We briefly spotted a blow of a humpback whale but they were very elusive and didn‘t see much of them again. We went close to the coast and then saw a minke whale but again, a very elusive one! They surfaced a few times but far away and before long, we headed back to the harbour. Since the sightings weren't of great quality, we gave our passengers complimentary tickets to try again another day. The winds were picking up and we cancelled the afternoon tour for the safety and comfort of our passengers.

With a little drizzle, and a bit of wind, we headed out to sea and within a few minutes spotted our first minke whale! After watching a few surface sequences, we headed further and our next sighting was 4-5 white-beaked dolphins, another minke, and then a humpback whale! We had a nice fluke dive from the humpback before heading back to shore. In the afternoon, we again spotted a minke whale very close to the harbour! And then another, and another - three minke whales in total! We headed further out to sea but with no luck, and decided to watch our minke whales again! Another great day in Faxaflói bay.

Then, 2 humpback whales appeared and we had some good sightings although they were diving for longer periods of time. In the afternoon, we again saw 2 minke whales soon into the trip, and further out to sea, found a humpback whale and another minke! Whilst we were waiting for them, we also saw 4 harbour porpoises! On an overcast but dry morning, we set sail and after some time, spotted big blows on the horizon. We set course there and suddenly spotted a humpback whale breaching from afar - a spectacular sight! Two minke whales also appeared and we had a great look at all three animals before heading back to the harbour. In the afternoon, the tour started with two minke whales just outside of the harbour. We continued our tour and soon spotted 5 harbour porpoises and then 2 humpback whales, slapping their pectoral fins on the water. A great end to the day!
