Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: We had a successful morning and the weather was still excellent, the mood was perfect as we sailed from Reykjavík this afternoon. This afternoon it took us a little longer to find our first species but it was worth it, after around 45 minutes we found ourselves a Minke Whale. While this morning we were made to work to see the whale, this was much more effortless. This whale was very happy surfacing right beside us giving us a great view of itself many times. Throughout the whole tour we also saw many Harbour Porpoises, it is hard to count exactly how many we saw but it would have to be at least 50. And they were constantly coming alongside the boat, very unlike normal porpoises! And to top everything off we had the pleasure of seeing around 50 Northern Gannets dive bombing into the water while we were waiting for the minke to surface. It was never boring this afternoon, constant fun!

Report from Hafsúlan: Perfect sea conditions greeted us this morning, along with calm sea we had a warm western wind. Perfect for a relaxing sail. And we didn´t even have to sail for very long before we spotted our first species, after just 30 minutes we found a Humpback Whale! After we found the whale it surfaced a few times before showing its big fluke and going down for a long dive. Unfortunately after this it only surfaced once more before disappearing. So we moved on and found a second species of whale, this time we found a Minke Whale! This was a little better, surfacing in front of the boat mutliple times before diving and not appearing again. Though these whales were elusive we at least got to see two and with the great weather everyone had a good time anyway.
