Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: we went out with almost a full boat and started off by going to the same area as we had seen the orcas in yesterday, however the conditions were different than yesterday; the wind was stronger and increasing, coming from the west on top of that. The sea surface was also full of swell and white tops. We first sailed to the southwest and then turned towards the north. After about one hour, a single harbour porpoise was seen close by but only twice and then it was gone. Shortly thereafter, a common seal approached us to check us out but before most people managed to see it, it was gone down and was not seen again. The conditions were such that we decided that the best thing would be to head back towards the harbour whilst still continue to observe our surroundings as we have often seen whales and dolphins close to the harbour. It was sad, given the outstanding tour yesterday, but this is nature and the bad weather that was predicted for the evening came much sooner than the weather forecast had indicated. All passengers were provided with complimentary return tickets so that they can come with us again free of charge within the next two years.
