Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: the wind was not as strong as yesterday but still it was a bit rocky, especially on the way back to land because then we had to sail into the waves. We sailed first to the arias where we have been seeing the humpbacks and dolphins for the last few days. We saw huge flocks of sea birds further out on the bay so we decided to sail towards them. Flocks of active birds are often a good sign of a lot of fish and where there is a lot of fish we have a better chance of finding cetaceans. But this time we couldn’t find any cetaceans close to the birds. On the way back we spotted two white-beaked dolphins. At first it seemed we would get a good look at the dolphins because they were both jumping up in the air not so far from the boat but after only a short time they started to be more elusive and very hard to follow. Because we could only spend a short time with the dolphins we gave all of our passengers complimentary tickets so they can have a second chance with us to see cetaceans.
