Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: We had a successful morning tour so when we headed out from Reykjavík we were very confident. While in the morning it took us a while to find something, this afternoon it only took us around 30 minutes to find our first species! We found a Minke Whale! Over the course of the tour we found around 5 minkes and this would only be the first of four species that we would find. We then came across a large pod of Harbour Porpoise which were unusually calm around us and came very close to us. And later on we came across a pod of White-Beaked Dolphins and also found ourselves a Humpback Whale. The humpback was excellent as it was extremely calm and constantly lifting its fluke into the air in front of us. Along the the excllent weather is was an awesome tour!

Tour at 09:00

Report from Hafsúlan: The good sea conditions from the previous days continued today, the sea was almost still and although it rained a little it was still a great weather day. And the good sightings from the previous days continued too, this morning gave us six to nine Minke Whales and a pod of Harbour Porpoise. And two of the minkes have us a great sighting as they came very close to the boat and were very calm around us. One whale was actually circling our boat for a while, possibly curious and having a good look at us. And while we were sailing we were constantly seeing minke whales around us, wherever you looked you would have a chance of seeing a whale! It was a great tour full of sightings!
