Tour at 13:00Report from Hafsúlan: We had similar conditions as in the morning but the last rain clouds disappeared and with them the rainbows but more blue sky was above us and more sunbeams did reach us. Soon after leaving the harbour we found harbour porpoises just in front of Viðey. Like they were named to be around the harbour. It was a pod of at least 4 individuals which looked like they were feeding with birds and showing us several times big parts of their tiny bodies as the surfaced fast. Later on as we continued our search further out in Faxaflói we found another pod of at least 2 animals. They were travelling fast and two showed up synchronously and were once more then half out of the water. Apart from this two encounters with the smallest cetaceans of this area we met several species of sea birds and among them were diving northern gannets which are always impressive to watch. Even tough we offered our guests to get a new chance to observe some of the bigger cetaceans around Reykjavík.

Tour at 09:00Report from Hafsúlan: Today the sun shone, sometimes on the snowy mountains or on the surrounding towns or on us. There were nice clouds, some blue sky and from time to time parts of rainbows visible. The wind was blowing quite strong and cold, bringing white caps onto the waves. Even though the ride with the wind felt comfortably calm and not too freezing. Apart from the landscape we could look at some birds but unfortunately the cetaceans were not giving us a chance to see them this morning. We hope that we will be luckier next time when our passengers will come back with their complimentary tickets.
