Tour at 13:00Report from Hafsúlan and Elding: We took two boat out this afternoon and decided to go out from the harbour in Keflavík because of more favourable sea conditions there. As we sailed out from the harbour we could see that the area was crowded with bird life, Northern Gannets flew around the boat and we could see some birds feeding a little bit further away. After a very short time one of the boats spotted a blow , and with a closer look we spotted 2 Humpback whales, one a little bit further away. We watched the humpback whale surface around us, it was constantly changing directions, probably feeding as the fish dector showed some activity just below the surface. As we looked around we saw a blow from another humpback whale. so the boats took turns, staying with different animals, one boat at a time so we would minimize the disturbance. After spending a good amount of time with the animals, we decided to search for something else. after a very short time 2 more humpback were spotted, feeding very close to the shore. They were amazing to watch as they didn't seem to mind our presence and surfaced right next to the boat and swam under it! The boats took turns, one watched the humpbacks while the other spotted a Minke Whale! Both boats got a good look at different minke whales and of course 4-5 amazing humpback whales. Before we headed back to the harbour we decided to sail towards a big cliff, which was full of bird life, and had a beautiful lighthouse on top of it. But as we were heading away from the cliff, we just had to take another look at the beautiful humpback whale duo. This tour was just filled with wild life, many species of seabirds, 5 humpback whales and 2-3 minke's, even when we were almost at the harbour, a humpback whale surfaced twice, but then took a deeper dive and disappeared. What an amazing tour, filled with wild life and beautiful landscape. - Freydís & MeganTour at 9:00Unfortunately due to unfavourable sea conditions we have decided to cancel the 9:00 whale watching tour.

Birds seen on todays tour: Northern Gannets, Northern Fulmars, Kittiwakes, Black-Backed Gulls, Guillemots, Razorbills, Eider Duck, Cormorants.
