Report from Hafsúlan: today was quite pleasant; cold but not so much if you wore the thermal suits provided. We started off to the north, where another whale-watching boat alerted us to the presence of a few harbour porpoises but they saw them only a few times and they were gone by the time we got there. Then we continued looking for cetaceans, all along admiring the view all around us and even all the way over to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and its magnificent Snæfellsjökull Glacier but nothing turned up in terms of whales or dolphins. Finally we had to start making our way back to Reykjavik but just to make one final attempt to find cetaceans, we went briefly to the same location as we had seen the dolphins in yesterday but they had moved on. As a result, we offered all passengers complimentary return tickets so that they can come back whale-watching with us free of charge within the next two years.
