Tour at 17:00

Report from Hafsúlan: The sea conditions were perfect on this afternoon tour. Low waves and cloudy skies. We headed out of old Reykjavík harbour to the area where we had spotted Minke whales on the earlier tours. We found two minke whales who were extremely elusive but just before we were planing to head back we got reports about a pod of white-beaked dolphins close to our location. We headed towards them and there we found two females with one young each and a third adult. What a way to end a great day out at sea!

Report from Hafsúlan: On the afternoon tour we sailed out in equal conditions as on the morning tour. We decided to head towards the same area where we saw the minke whales earlier. The whales played a mean game with us today and it took one and half hour until we saw our first minke whale. All together there were 2-3 minke whales feeding in an area, and showed themselves very nicely a couple of times. A lot of happy faces when we ended the tour in Reykjavik harbour.

Tour at 09:00

Report from Hafsúlan: The sea conditions were near perfect on this morning tour, slow Northern winds and sun. We headed out of Reykjavík harbour in high spirits and found a small pod of harbour porpoises and further in the tour we found two minke whales in the same area. The minkes headed of in two directions and we followed the one who was heading towards Akranes. After a short while we felt the area was becoming too crowded so we turned to re-find the minke who had headed towards Keilir. We reunited with that minke just before having to turn back to Reykjavík harbour.
