Tour at 10:00

Report from Elding: It was very windy this morning with strong southeasterly winds making conditions a bit choppy. On the way out we had the winds at our backs which was quite pleasant and spotted a couple of pods of 3-4 white-beaked dolphins and a lone harbor porpoise. These individuals were quite elusive however and didn't seem to want to interact with the boat. We tried our best to find more cetaceans but conditions grew worse towards the end of the tour and we headed back without further sightings. To make this up to our passengers we offered them all a complimentary ticket valid for two years on any whale watching trip. We hope too see them again soon!

Report from Eldey: On this morning tour the weather was rather rough as we left the harbour of Reykjavik. The stormy weather that was predicted reached the Faxaflói bay earlier as expected. Even though, we didn't let this get us down, neither did our passengers as it seemed, enjoying the ride and the divers bird life as we were traveling out. Having the wind in our back we managed to spot two different pods of white- beaked dolphins. The first pod seemed to be a small and very elusive one, with only around two individuals. The second group of dolphins was a bit more in a whale watching mood, coming up very close to the boat for a shorter period. After these animals vanished as well we were following two minke whales that were moving around quiet a lot, making it hard to spot them more often. On our way back we got a last look at some dolphins jumping several hundred meters away. Estimating 2-3 different pods of white- beaked dolphins with 6 - 9 individuals.
As we only got quick looks at the animals we encountered, we wanted our passengers to get another  chance to get a closer look at those amazing creatures, this is why we offered free complimentary tickets, valid for 2 years, for all our passengers.
