Report from Eldey: The wind had picked up a little on the afternoon but the sun was warm on our faces with the south westerly winds. It was very bitter on the way home so our passengers had the yummy whale punch (hot chocolate with run) to warm themselves up. We had a short but sweet encounter with a very small minke whale, maybe 5-6 meters long and a pod of 5-6 white beaked dolphins that popped up suddenly whilst we were waiting for the minke whale and surfaced a few times before disappearing once more. The birdlife was not so abundant on this tour but still a nice assortment of species.

Report from Eldey and Hafsúlan: It was a busy morning with over 200 passengers joining us this morning, To provide more comfort we went out on two boats. It was a beautiful morning with a strong sun but a bitterly cold wind especially when coming home and traveling into it rather than against it. The landscape was also beautiful with the freshly snow-capped mountains. It was a very successful day for this time of year with 3 pods of white-beaked dolphins, maybe 15-20 indivials all in all with many baby dolphins too. Hafsúlan was far too the south and was fortunate to spot a minke whale about 3 times and a few of those less than 50m from the boat. The birdlife was also quite good, clusters of actively feeding birds, which is always a good sign. A nice chilly but beautiful morning on the bay.
