Report from Hafsúlan: The wind remained strong from the southwest and the swells were still high. The journey out in the bay was rough just like this morning. We pushed forward for one hour before turning and traveling with the swells from the side. Brave passengers onboard, all though some experienced some green faces. Just like the morning tour we got a short encounter with a pod of harbour porpoises, 5-6 individuals stayed a little bit longer close to the boat but was soon gone behind us. Porpoises are equally shy as they are cute to look at. After that we searched the same area where we had the pod of dolphins this morning. We did also manage to find them (or a new pod), 7-8 white-beaked dolphins surfaced 3 times close to the boat. Sadly they were really difficult to follow in the swells and we never got a really good look at them, before we lost them. We returned back to Reykjavík and offered all passengers complimentary tickets valid for another whale watching tour within two years time.

Report from Hafsúlan: Strong southwestern winds meant high swells out in the bay. Together with an overcast sky and some rain the conditions today weren't´t so nice for whale watching. We sailed into the swells for the first hour of the tour, giving us a real roller-coaster ride. We could then turn and travel alongside the swells making the tour a bit smoother. We searched for a long time before seeing a pod of 4-5 harbour porpoises passing us by really quickly. Soon after we found a pod of 8-10 white-beaked dolphins, these were truly wonderful dolphins that we could follow for a long time and observed them both jumping and coming up to us investigating the boat by swimming underneath. It is really something special seeing this species of dolphin when the black and white pattern shinning through the water surface. On our way back we surfed the swells making it more comfortable. We ended the tour in Reykjavik.
