Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: A very windy day today, northerly cold winds that chilled us to the bones. A lot of our passengers kept warm with our floatation overalls, which we offer free of charge on board our vessels. We sailed today out from Grindavik in the hope to spot the humpback whale from yesterday. Once leaving the harbour we traveled east, first long the coast and then further offshore. We came across a pod of white-beaked dolphins, maybe 5-7 individuals that first came towards us and then chasing after fish, they even started body slamming the waters surface and surfacing fast. After a while of watching then we sailed off and soon came across another pod of 3-5, but they too were busy. We searched for larger cetaceans but unfortunately none was seen. Nonetheless we had a beautiful sail along the southern coastline and a stunning sunset.
