Status: RUNNING

The Elding team wishes you all a Happy New Year.

We are sailing out today from Reykjavik Harbour. The wind is coming from the south-east and we could experience some swells.

Tour at 13:00

Report from Elding and Eldey: The wind blew strongly from the south today as we headed out but we had our backs to it and the journey out to sea was quite comfortable. We got off to a quick start to the tour when after half an hours Eldey caught sight of white-beaked dolphins.  Elding turned around and headed towards to spot these animals. It took some searching but soon we spotted the pod of about 4-5 dolphins again. These individuals were a little shy at first but then came closer and swam up right next to us and passed under the boats! We could see them very well just beneath the waves all the way from tail to the pearly white beak. An awesome encounter. After the dolphin encounter we searched further out and were soon hit with snow and hail. This made things a lot more difficult and we headed back to shore with no further sightings but made up for by the excellent dolphins.
