Report from Eldey: We sailed out from Hafnarfjörður today because we wanted the shelter from the Reykjanes peninsula. The weather changed every 10 minutes or so, changing between snow hailing and sunny clear skies, typical Icelandic weather. The sea conditions were pretty good so our passengers didn't experience high swells which is always great. After about 50 minutes of sailing we spotted a pod of white-beaked dolphins, 5-6 individuals. We encountered these dolphins about 400 meters from the boat when it was snowing a lot but we managed to keep our eyes on the animals and after a while the sky cleared up. This pod of dolphins where really great. We had about 40 minutes with these animals and they really didn't seem to mind us. They came really close to the boat and even swam under it a few times. Very great to see this pod in the wild.
