We are sailing out from Reykjavik Harbour today. The forecast predicts wind from the east and we can experience some swells.

Tour at 13:00

Report from Elding and Hafsúlan: Due to a high number of passengers we decided to take out 2 boats this windy Saturday. The weather forecast didn't mentioned this much wind so it came as a bit of a surprise. Luckily the direction was north/northeast so the swells out in the bay were alright. Both boats headed north in the beginning to get some shelter from the mountains and then turn west and further out into the bay. We searched for a long time out in the bay with occasional big flocks of seabirds, mainly fulmars, shags and sea gulls. When we were on our way back we got a call from another whale watching boat that they had find a pod of white-beaked dolphins. Hafsúlan arrived a little bit before Elding and got some good views of 5-6 dolphins playing around in the waves. Elding saw the dolphins two times but in some distance. We soon lost the dolphins but Hafsúlan managed to find them again when we had started traveling back, but they were soon lost again in the swells. It was a cold and windy day today but really nice to have some contacts with dolphins. In harbour Elding decided to give its passengers complimentary tickets because of the poor views of the dolphins.
