Status: RUNNING

We are sailing out from Reykjavik Harbour today but with the possibility to end in Keflavik Harbour because of direction of the waves. In that case the tour will be between 4-5 hours. If we end the tour in Keflavik Harbour we have a complimentary bus transfering us to the Old Harbour in Reykjavik. The forecast predicts little wind from the south and we can expect some movement on the boat.

Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey and Hafsúlan: A beautiful day in Reykjavík with sunshine and no wind. We had two boats out and both were almost full, people must have seen the good weather forecast and decided to join us at sea! On our way out we had sunshine and snow! It was very special, big "Disney-snowflakes" fell from the sky and the sun was shinning beautifully. We searched far out in the bay today. We passed by big flocks of seabirds, mainly northern fulmars and seagulls. Eldey was the first to encounter a pod of 2-3 harbour porpoises that came up right in front of us and continued away. A few people on the top deck managed to get a quick look at these tiny cetaceans. Later Hafsúlan found a nice pod of 8-10 white-beaked dolphins. Both boats could enjoy these dolphins for some time. We had them surfacing close to us and swimming underneath the boat on a couple occasions. It was at least one mother with a calf in the pod! When we left the dolphins we started to sail back and ended the tour in Reykjavík.
