Report from Hafsúlan: The weather was incredible and sea conditions couldn't be better. After about 40 minutes sailing we spotted blows in far distance. It was clear that this was a lively are as we saw also huge flocks of birds flying above the blows. When we got closer we saw that these were humpback blows from at least 5 different individuals. It was amazing to listen to the sounds from the whales that surfaced and the sea birds flying around us. The humpbacks clearly did not mind our boat as they often surfaced slowly close to our boat. It was difficult to leave this incredible area when we were out of time.

Report from Hafsúlan: We had very good conditions this morning with weak winds and a more or less flat sea surface. We headed out in the bay to the same area that had proven so good yesterday. A lot of seabirds were about but they seemed relaxed and not feeding. You want to see the birds in close flocks and diving down at the surface, we didn't see this behavior. When we were far out we got a call from another whale watching boat that they had found dolphins behind us. So we turned around and headed towards them. At the scene we could see a pod of 10-12 white-beaked dolphins, including at least two baby calves! Very adorable to see the small baby dolphins surfacing close to their mother. The pod was somewhat difficult to get close maybe because they had calves with them? But before we left them at peace we all had good views of these dolphins. On our way back we had a smooth sailing and good views of the surrounding landscape. A good morning tour out in the bay.
