Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: The weather seemed to have calmed down a little bit, at least at the beginning of the tour. We decided to sail a little bit further away in the bay, increasing our chances to see animals. Unfortunately we sailed without success during almost 3 hours. A little bit disappointed, we started to head back to Reykjavik, since the wind was starting to blow fiercely and without truce. Our dear passengers were given some complimentary tickets that they will be able to use within the next two years.

Tour at 09:00

Report from Eldey: Today we went out from Hafnarfjörður due to the strong winds coming from the South. The sailing was very comfortable throughout the tour: however, the cetaceans were not our best friends today and didn't show themselves a single time. Therefore, we offered all our passengers complimentary tickets valid for another whale watching tour with us within the next 2 year, either in Reykjavik or in Akureyri in the North of Iceland.

Bird species seen on today's tours include: northern gannet, northern fulmar, Iceland gull, glaucous gull, black-backed gull, eider duck, red-necked phalarope, common guillemot.

Status Tour 9 am: RUNNING

Due to unfavourable conditions out of Reykjavík Harbour we will be sailing out from HAFNARFJÖRDUR Harbour for the 9am tour. Meeting point for the tour remains the Old Harbour in Reykjavík, where a bus will be ready and waiting for passengers. We will drive off to Hafnarfjörður at the scheduled departure time at 9am. This will result in a longer tour around 4-5 hrs. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact our ticket office at elding@elding.is or +354 519 5000.
