Status: RUNNING

We are sailing out from the Old Harbour today. There is little to no wind but there could be some movement on the boat out on FaxaBay

Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: Similar to this morning, we had merciful sea conditions when leaving the harbour. We even had slightly warmer temperatures ! To our dismay, the cloud cover got gradually thicker, our visibility decreased slowly as it began to rain during the second half of the trip. Overall we still had  a calm sea surface, so once we got used to the rain, the sailing remained pleasant. We searched carefully for over 3 hours, but sadly we sighted nothing more than 2-3 elusive harbour porpoises. Complimentary tickets were profusely handed over for our passengers to come back for free: Today cruel prank was played on us, as we got enjoyable sailing and optimal spotting conditions and yet were unsuccessful in our excursions. Nature: 2 - Whale watchers: 0, but the adventure is never over and we will try again until we settle the score !

Tour at 09:00

Report from Eldey: Weather was looking for our first tour of the day, we little wind and no rain forecasted ! During our departure we had the wind in our back, thus we started the tour with an enjoyable cruise. As the time was going by, sun rose more and more, we were getting more light until the shy sun finally showed up above the clouds and allowed us to take beautiful landscape pictures. At some point we were facing a wind picking up, which made us appreciate more our nice-looking overall, but the sea was still calm so our exploration of the bay stayed quiet. Patient and sharp, even in our best shape we did not find anything the morning. Were the animals out of the bay ? Were they just in a shy mood and too good at hiding ? Was the guide napping on duty ? So many questions we cannot answer for our sure ! What is certain is that we will always offer complimentary tickets on no sightings trip like this one, and we will always keep on going out looking for those magnificent cetaceans !
