Tour at 1 pm: RUNNING FROM ANOTHER HARBOUR
Due to unfavorable conditions out of Reykjavík Harbour we will be sailing out from HAFNARFJÖRDUR Harbour today at 1 pm. A bus will be ready and waiting for passengers at our ticket office in the Old Harbour in Reykjavík and drive off to HAFNARFJÖRDUR at the scheduled departure time. This will result in a slightly longer tour or around 4 - 5 hrs, and may therefor impact COMBO tours. Due to swells there will be movement on the boat. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact our ticket office at elding@elding.is or +354 519 5000.
Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey: The weather had calmed for us this afternoon, the heavens opened up and the sun rose over the mountains of the Reykjanes. It was beautiful to have this warm light the whole tour. Sunrise/Sunset in 3 hours. We sailed along the Reykjanes for about an hour to reduce the swell as much as possible for passenger comfort and searched in some of our best spots there but with no avail. We then headed to the north further into the bay itself but still no luck. Saw quite a few species of birds and the landscape and light was breath-taking. We offered our passengers complimentary tickets in the hope they can try again in the next two years on a whale watching tour either in Reykjavik or Akureyri (north).

Tour at 9 am : RUNNING
We are sailing out form the Old Harbour in Reykjavik today at 9 am. There will be some movement on the boat due to swells on the Faxabay but the forecast predicts the wind to slow down during the day and rain on and off. It is a bit cold but we have warm overalls on board for everybody.
Tour at 09:00
Report from Eldey: The tour started of darkness draws in we will only be operating one whale watching tour a day at 13:00 from the 1st December. There was swell also today which cause a few green faces but alot also enjoyed the movement. We tried to keep the tour as comfortable as posible though. We unfortunately saw no cetaceans on this tour so we offered our passengers complimentary tickets in the hope they will have better luck next time. It was however nice to be out on the water and watch the sunrise and beautiful landscape and birdlife.
