Status: RUNNING
We are sailing from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik today. There is movement on the boat due to swells out on Faxabay. If you are sensitive to motion sickness we offer preventative tablets in the ticket office, free of charge! On board there are heated indoor areas but we also have overalls to keep you warm out on deck.

Report from Eldey: The swell that gave us a difficult time this morning had not calmed down much this afternoon and resulted in another rather rocky tour today. Together with the two other whale watching boats in Reykjavik we sailed out but unfortunately none of us came across any whales or dolphins today. After almost two hours of searching we found a few 3-5 harbour porpoises that were traveling along our boat before they disappeared. They surfaced quite a few times which is why I hope that many people outside got a quick look at them. However, since we did not find any bigger animals, we offered complimentary tickets to everyone onboard. These tickets are valid for another whale watching tour within the next two years, either from Reykjavik or from Akureyri in the North of Iceland. It is time for the whales and dolphins to show up again!!

Report from Eldey: We went out this cloudy morning, feeling the awakening Icelandic cold and facing a little bit of rain and hail now and then. We approached the middle of the bay, the area in which we usually have better chances to spot some wildlife. A few seabirds were gathering in the distance, an always good sign that makes us believe we are going to have luck with the animals. Unfortunately that was not the case, and we had to come back soon to the harbour, but we gave some complimentary tickets to our passengers, and they will be able to repeat the experience in the next two years!
