Status: RUNNING

We are sailing from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik today. It is a bit windy today so there could be some movement on the boat out on Faxabay. If you are sensitive to motion sickness we offer preventative tablets in the ticket office, free of charge! On board there are heated indoor areas but we also have overalls to keep you warm out on deck.

Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: On this not too cold afternoon we sailed out in to Faxafloi hoping to find some of our whale or dolphin friends. After about an hour, we spotted a group of 4-6 white-beaked dolphins. These fun animals came really close after a while and swam all around us and seemed to be quite curious about us. A second whale watching boat joined us and the dolphins also paid some attention to them before heading back to us. They seemed to loose interest after a while and headed away. We followed them and managed to get a bit closer but then they disappeared. Later we noticed that one of the dolphins in the group was "Sophie" -  one of our regulars that we have seen every year since 2013! We continued our sailing and enjoyed the fresh air and then finally made our way back to the harbour! Nice to see the dolphins again!
