Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey: It was a wonderful flat calm day as we set sail into Faxafloi bay, the best so far for our winter season it has to be said. There was a slight chill wind but nothing too uncomfortable. The setting sun gave us a beautiful golden light which drenched its surroundings it a lovely golden glow. It took us a long time to search for animals today and although we heard news about a few white-beaked dolphins in the distance we were unable to find these quick and elusive animals. Unfortunately, we were unable to find any other cetaceans so we offered our passengers complimentary tickets allowing them to come on another tour for free.

Birds seen on todays tour: icelandic gull, glaucous gull, black headed gull, black-backed gull, kittiwake, european shag, eider duck, common guillemot and razor bills.
Status: RUNNING
We are sailing from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik today. It is a bit windy today so there could be some movement on the boat out on Faxabay. If you are sensitive to motion sickness we offer preventative tablets in the ticket office, free of charge! On board there are heated indoor areas but we also have overalls to keep you warm out on deck.
