Status: RUNNING

We are sailing from Hafnarfjörður Harbour today. A bus will be ready and waiting for passengers at our ticket office in the Old Harbour in Reykjavík and drive off to HAFNARFJÖRDUR at the scheduled departure time. This will result in a slightly longer tour or around 4 - 5 hrs, and may therefor impact COMBO tours. If you are sensitive to motion sickness we offer preventative tablets in the ticket office, free of charge! On board there are heated indoor areas but we also have overalls to keep you warm out on deck. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact our ticket office at elding@elding.is or +354 519 5000.

Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsulan: Due to challenging sea conditions we left from Hafnafjordur today. On the first half of the trip the swell was not in our favour and we got shaken a bit, but once we turned the boat in the same direction than the waves, the rife got more peaceful and enjoyable. We could benefit from low wind and good spotting conditions, and temperatures were not that cold except the times we were facing the winds. So overall the cruise was merciful despite the swells, also thanks to the wise steering of the captain. But the tour would have been exciting with more wildlife. We only came across few sarce sea birds and a pod of 4 shy harbour porpoises. They stayed for half a minute before disappearing, leaving us eager for more cetaceans. Sadly no food seemed to be in the bay today, and it was no show from the whales and dolphins. We therefore handed over complimentary tickets, and are ready to welcome back returning passengers anytime in the future !

Bird species seen on today's tour include: eider duck, northern gannet, great cormorant, northern fulmar, common guillemot and lesser black-backed gull
