Tour at 13:00
Report from Hafsúlan: We sailed out from Reykjavík in not the nicest of weathers. Dull and overcast and there was some slight showers during the tour but mostly we kept dry. The wind was also quite strong but the sailing offshore was smooth as we headed with the swell but rocky on the way home so we sailed slowly to make the ride as comfortable as possible. The wildlife was plentiful which was great to see. Lots of seabirds and many White beaked Dolphins, we saw two pods but it was the second that was the best, pod of 5-7 animals leaping, surfacing and mostly feeding, changing from one direction to the next chasing after those fishes. Watching them for over half an hour before we had to head home.
Birds seen on today´s tour included: Black Guillemot, Common Guillemot, Razorbills, Eider Ducks, Long-tailed Ducks, Shags, Glaucous Gulls, Iceland Gulls, Kittiwakes.
