Report from Eldey: The weather remained spectacularly sunny this afternoon, although with a slight increase of the wind. We could not escape the cold either on this tour, but a blue atmosphere and calm waters made for a serene landscape. In such a background, it was not wonder that the 10-12 white-beaked dolphins we encountered acted so calmly ! They were surfacing lazily, bathing into the sun and circling around us. Watching them, it was tempting to let us get contaminated by their relaxed attitude and daze off on the spot... We enjoyed their presence for half an hour until we resumed our exploration of the bay, and spotted a dozen of harbour porpoises that crossed us quickly, but quite close to us. Eventually, we met an additional pod of about 6 dolphins and few atlantic puffins before the end of the tour.

Report from Eldey: A pair of sunglasses and a scarf proved to be our most important accessories today, as our morning tour happened under a blinding sun and freezing wind. Too happy to have an opportunity to get some tan and gaze upon the blue blue sky, we could not be too bothered by the cold and ventured out with optimism. Our first encounter of the day was a pod of the bravest harbour porpoises the crew members ever saw. There was about 5 of them, that stayed for a couple of minutes and that surfaced daringly close to our boat. Our time with them was cut short by the spotting of a minke whale that pushed our patience to its limits. This individual was randomly surfacing between long dives, but luckily for us by following it we sighted a second minke whale that allowed us closer looks. We were already counting our generous blessings when eventually we found a pod of 6-8 white-beaked dolphins that did not seem to mind our presence. Once again we took our fill of cetaceans pictures, and went back to the harbour in a smooth ride.
