Report from Eldey: We were sailing out of Keflavik this time! Terrible weather and lots of rain, but we decided to give it a shot. It wasn't the smoothest ride ever but sure it was fun! And despite the challenge we actually saw something unique! Just a few meters away from the boat something just jumped out of the water! It happened this time that all the crew members were looking to a different position but the important is that a few lucky passengers managed to see the body of the animal out of the water. After that a minke whale leaped like a dolphin once and surfaced one more time. And that was it. It was gone. So quite a brief encounter but pretty unique though! Unfortunately we didn't spotted any other animals so we came back to Keflavik´s harbour and we gave our costumers complimentary tickets, hopefully they'll have better luck on during the second try!

Report from Eldey: Due to the bad weather in the area around Reykjavik and the good sightings from the previous day in Keflavik, we decided to start our morning tour also from Keflavik. Unfortunately, we were not blessed with any sightings on our tour. However, the rough sea, the cold wind and the rain showed how fast the weather can change here in Iceland and in how many different "flavors" this country might be experienced. So, today we got to see the wild beauty of the sea with high waves breaking at the cliffs on the shore. Although this was spectacular, of course our passengers came to see cetaceans here in Faxafloi. Thus, we offered everyone complementary tickets to give it another try on one of our tours for free.

Tour Status 9:00 and 10:00: RUNNING FROM ANOTHER HARBOUR
We will be sailing from Keflavík Harbour 26th of August 2017 for our tours 9:00 and10:00 due to unfavourable conditions out of Reykjavík.
A bus will be ready and waiting for passengers here in the Old Harbour and drive off to Keflavík at the scheduled departure times. After the tours we will return to Reykjavík by bus again. The duration of the tours should be approximately the same as usually or 3-3,5 hours since the sailing itself will be a bit shorter. Reaching the sighting area out from Keflavík takes a lot shorter than from Reykjavík so the sighting duration should be the same as usually.
