Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: We prayed hard for the weather to spare us this afternoon. and somehow our wishes were granted! It was a little bit windy for a while, but most of our trip happened under sunlight with a spectacular rainbow! The pleasant scenery made for an enjoyable searching through the bay, until we heard news from other boats. We met them and ended in a spot where about 15-20 white-beaked dolphins were feeding and swimming around! It was hard to tell if it was one large pod scattered around and spread up or if it was 2-3 different pods in the same area, but nonetheless we got great sightings. It was tricky to take pictures as the dolphins were moving fast, but we got very close views from the side of the boats and some dolphins displayed energetic leaps and jumps out of the water! When our time was out, we got the wind and the waves on the back for our sailing toward the harbour, from there it was delightfully cozy.

Tour at 09:00

Report from Eldey: A moderate easterly wind blew across the bay bringing a gentle swell that was accompanied by dark clouds and rain. The weather didn't dampen our spirits however and we were optimistic in regards to the good sightings from yesterday. An hour or so into the tour we encountered white-beaked dolphins, first seen performing acrobatic leaps through the waves. The dolphins steadily made their way across our path from the right to left and slipped away into the waves. As the encounter was brief and no other cetaceans seen, complimentary tickets were issued.
