Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: It was like the North Atlantic Ocean was taunting us. We still had memories from the previous shaky tour, but the sun was shining so bright upon the bay, it was beautiful out there! We got the sea in our blood and never decline a challenge, so we departed in high spirits. It was sure cold and bumpy, so it eventually took its tool on few passengers, but despite that the scenery was splendid, with light piercing through clouds and visibility extending all the way up to Snaefellsjokull. Sadly, we did not see more than one harbour porpoise swimming at full speed away from us. Empty tour means complimentary tickets issued to everyone. May we next time get both nice views of landscape and animals!

Tour at 09:00

Report from Eldey: A bitterly cold morning tour, overalls were recommended and most used them without hesitation. It was beautiful in the bay with snow covered mountains and as the sun rose the colours in the sky were stunning. The swell was a bit much for some of our passengers but most was enjoying the ride. The guide spotted a couple of white-beaked dolphins, they surfaced twice and disappeared. Unfortunately no other cetaceans were encountered so we offered our passengers complimentary tickets to come again for free within the next two years.

Bird species seen on today's tour include: northern fulmar, black-legged kittiwake, eider duck, long-tailed duck, common guillemot, snow buntings, eider ducks, black-headed gulls, glaucous gulls, iceland gulls.
