Status: RUNNING

Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: The weather during this tour changed between dry and almost sunny to some minutes of strong hail and a thick clowd cover leaving us in the dark. A typical icelandic winter day though. Although we saw quite a variety of sea birds, we unfortunately only saw some harbor porpoises suddenly popping up next to our vessel before disappearing again. As there was no luck with finding bigger cetaceans on this trip, we handed out complimentary tickets to our passengers to give them the opportunity to come with us on another whale and dolphin watching tour with hopefully more success.

Bird species seen on today's tour include: common guillemot, icelandic gull, glaucous gull, greater black-backed gull, northern gannet, northern fulmar

We are sailing out from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik today. There could be some movement on the boat out on Faxabay due to the wind yesterday but if you are sensitive to motion sickness we do offer sea sickness tablets at the ticket office and on the boat free of charge.
