Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: What an incredible trip that we had during our afternoon tour. The weather was fantastic, clear visibility that allowed us to see the whole extension of Faxafloi, from Keflavik to Snaefellsjokull, almost no wind and zero waves made the perfect mix for a whale and dolphin watching experience, and it was! It took us a while to find our first cetaceans of the day and they were 2-3 very elusive harbour porpoise which disappeared as soon as they appeared. Nonetheless, we didn't get desperate and we continued with our chase, getting a good reward. It was almost like in a movie, the sun was setting and a little bit of mist covered the mountain, and in between this scenery we contemplated in the distance a single blow, with the hopes in our hearts we got closer and we discovered one of our most beloved species: a humpback whale. She looked like a very active juvenile, surfacing quite often and giving us nice moments while fluking several times. In our way back home, we could see the beautiful sunset when Esja mountain range got pinkish, a delightful moment for our eyes.
