Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey: Iceland was beaten by a huge storm yesterday and another one is coming tomorrow, so today's trip seemed like a small gap or the so-called peace before the storm, so our motivation and will to go out there were huge! With this spirit we sailed out of Reykjavik looking for wildlife. We didn't have time to leave the harbour when we met a huge flock of cormorants, a very distinguishable black bird. More seabirds were around today, such as fulmar, guillemots or seagulls. The weather was like a roller-coaster, snowing, raining, hailing and giving us an excellent sunset, we were even lucky to see a double rainbow in the sky, an authentic pleasure for the eyes. Suddenly, we got confirmation from other boat about the presence of some cetaceans in other part of the bay. We went there to investigate for a while but these ones were very elusive so we couldn't place them. Unfortunately, we couldn't spot any more cetaceans in our trip today, so complimentary tickets were offered. Nonetheless, we enjoy a smooth ride and we got a good taste of Faxafloi and the charismatic icelandic weather.

We are sailing out from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik today. There is some wind coming in from the South East but that is a good direction for us as the mountains provide some shelter. There still will be some movement on the boat out on Faxabay but we do provide tablets for motion sickness free of charge both at our ticket office and on board if you are sensitive to sea sickness, We hope you are able to join us today!
