Report from Eldey: Winter weather makes our life more difficult last weeks, so we were happy that we are again able to go out. Sky was overcast but all snow-fall stay behind us on land. We sailed through calm waters, even while wind was blowing strongly it didn´t affect surface of the sea. Our captain was trying his best to keep this cold wind away from us but at the end of the tour we didn´t had other choice then face it, as wind was coming from the direction of Reykjavik. This windy conditions were perfect to watch fulmars flying like a kites around, without a single move of the wings. Many other sea birds were also present but especially little auks catched our attention. It was a dream-tour for any bird-watcher! Unfortunately cetaceans didn´t show up, but we offered complimentary tickets for our passengers.

Bird species seen on today's tour include: little auk, northern fulmar, northern gannet, common guillemot, great cormorant, greater black backed gull, iceland gull, eider duck
We will be sailing from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik today at 1 pm. There will be some movement in the sea today, so if you are sensitive to sea sickness we do provide tablets for motion sickness both at our ticket office and on board. We hope you are able to join us today!
