Report from Eldey: The wind was strengthening as the day grew longer, due to the approaching storm that is scheduled to arrive later this evening. The sea conditions remained flat and the sailing was smooth with a few white caps on the small wind driven waves. We sailed further out into the bay when we received word from another vessel that they had sighted some fins popping up between the surf. We joined in the search, with both ships now combing the ocean surface together to locate the cetaceans, but unfortunately we had no luck. We returned back to Reykjavik, offering complimentary tickets as a result.

Report from Eldey: It was our very first morning tour this year! We were excited leaving the harbour with amazing raising sun by our side. Sky was covered in red in pink. Even if it was quite dark at the beginning with every minute we have better visibility. Sea was calm with only cold breeze blowing from time to time. We saw plenty of seabirds circling high in the sky. Our first cetaceans were harbour porpoises. 3 individuals for few seconds were bow riding our boat, but after few jumps they disappeared. Later on we had another encounter - just like porpoises before, white-beaked dolphins showed up in front of our boat. It was 2 elusive dolphins as only few times we could see them. Even if we saw animals today, quality of encounters weren't good enough to really enjoy, we offered complimentary tickets.

We are sailing out from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik today. There will be movement in the sea today, so if you are sensitive to sea sickness we do provide tablets for motion sickness both at our ticket office and on board. We hope you are able to join us today!
