Tour at 9:00 and 13:00 : RUNNING

Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: What a fantastic afternoon tour we have had today! The sun was shinning during the whole tour, giving us an impression of feeling warm (a rare feeling right now during winter time) and we had incredible visibility of the bay plus flat sea, what else can we ask for? Of course, wildlife, and it was present in huge numbers, especially northern fulmar were in thousands! Apart from them 2 harbour porpoises surprised us at different times during the tour but the final reward was waiting for us at the end of the tour. A pod of 4-5 white-beaked dolphins were spotted close to Reykjavik, swimming around us very gentle and getting quite close. We enjoyed them for a while before we came back to the harbour, with breathtaking views of Reykjavik and its surroundings as the sun was going down. It was a great tour.

Tour at 09:00

Report from Eldey: We caught a break from February's weather this morning. Although temperatures were colder than over the last few days, we were sailing on relatively calm seas, and the gorgeous sunrise was the icing on the cake! After a while what we had of clouds cleared up and the bright sun remained with us for the whole duration of the tour. The exploration of the bay was pleasant, but unsuccessful. The cormorants and the fulmars were the main wildlife we sighted, therefore all of our passengers were entitled to complimentary tickets. May lady luck smile at them next time!

Bird species spotted on today's tour include: northern fulmar, common guillemot, northern gannet, great cormorant, eider duck, glaucous gull & black guillemot

We are sailing out from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik today. There might be some movement in the sea today, so if you are sensitive to sea sickness we do provide tablets for motion sickness both at our ticket office and on board. We hope you are able to join us today!
