Report from Eldey: The afternoon tour reminded us that summer is coming, and with that season flat seas, sun and excellent sailing conditions are a common thing. That's how we felt and the odds could've not been better when we spotted a huge pod of white-beaked dolphins. At least 3 different pods with 15-20 individuals who were gathering together and chilling out next to us. After enjoying them for a while, we headed further out to find two beautiful and relaxed humpback whales. This pair was traveling together, surfacing very slowly so we could see their white flipper and huge fluke. They even surprised us when one of them decided to breach for the delight of everybody on board. The way back was so good that we were speechless with the beauty of Faxafloi and Reykjavik in the horizon.

Report from Eldey: We started Saturday with windless conditions and very small swell. It was a little bit cloudy in the morning but with every hour we got more and more sunlight. Sailing was a pleasure. After 50min we saw first cetaceans - around 5-8 white-beaked dolphins. Looked like they were feeding by presence of kittiwakes and long dives of dolphins. It was tricky to follow them but after a while we found second pod and by following jumping dolphin we had more and more of them around our boat. But even if jumping dolphin was trying hard to catch all of our attention we managed to discover huge blows in the distance. We went there to had amazing time with humpback whale. Animal was coming regularly to the surface, resting for few minutes and then raising flukes and going for deep dives. To made this tour even better we discover second humpback a little bit further away and we also take a look at this individual. On our way back we were passing through dolphins and this time we saw at least 20 of them in total. It was great tour but with all the honors to our passengers who were very involved in spotting and pointing animals - amazing team work. Thanks!
